Throughout the New Testament, you will find numerous examples of genuine community. At Amazing Grace Church, we strive to embody that same spirit through our Community Membership. The Community Membership represents a covenant—an agreement, pledge, or commitment—among dedicated individuals at Amazing Grace who share a deep resonance with our mission to make disciples of Jesus and teach them to inspire others in this journey. These members serve as the 'horizontal gravity' of Amazing Grace Church, drawing others closer to maturity in Christ and active engagement within the Kingdom of God, ultimately making a profound impact on the world. By completing the membership form and becoming a Community Member of Amazing Grace, you are committing to the gospel's work and the communal well-being of the Amazing Grace Community Church family.

Community Members at Amazing Grace Church are Christians who have the vision to see beyond themselves to the well-being of the entire church. They understand that God’s sacrifice was not just for them, but also for their community, as noted in Acts 20:28. Furthermore, they recognize His command to selflessly give of their finances and abilities to strengthen their community, as emphasized in 2 Corinthians 8–9. Each Community Member takes on the role of both leaders and servants within the church, contributing according to their unique gifts in alignment with Jesus’ teachings to love God and one another. This commitment reflects in their actions and words. As we are all part of one body, it is vital that each member functions effectively, as stated in Romans 12:4. Community Members at Amazing Grace Church must be trained and empowered to utilize their spiritual gifts in various ways, supporting the church alongside Pastors and Deacons in what the New Testament refers to as the priesthood of believers. Additionally, Community Members reap the benefits of primary care from the church, in line with biblical guidance found in Galatians 6:10. At Amazing Grace Church, a Community Member must be a Follower of Christ, which means professing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, repenting of their sins, and choosing to live each day for Him. A Community Member is also required to be water baptized, symbolizing Jesus's death and resurrection that cleanses them from sin, following the example set by Jesus and commanded in Matthew 28:19. Additionally, Community Members must agree with the church Constitution and By-Laws, which outline the essential beliefs of Christianity, the philosophy of our ministry, and our organizational structure. Community Members commit to regularly serving in the church, praying for the church, giving to the church, reading their Bibles, and showing love to their brothers and sisters in Christ through both words and actions. They also respect the authority of church leaders, including submitting to discipline when necessary, attend church services, and actively share the Gospel with others.
